Mr. Jason Teffeteller
Welcome to my principal's page! I'm thrilled to be the principal at Baton Elementary School! Here's just a little information about me:
I grew up in a town in Tennessee called Maryville, just outside of Knoxville. I went to William Blount High School and graduated from the University of Tennessee (Go Vols!) in 1993 with a bachelor's degree in history and elementary education. I later earned my master's degree in curriculum and instruction and then my education specialist in instructional leadership and supervision. I taught 5th and 6th grades with Clinton City Schools in Clinton, TN, until I was hired to be the assistant principal in Cabarrus County, NC, where I served at Mt. Pleasant Elementary School. I've since worked in Burke County for 6 years and then moved to Gamewell Middle School to serve as assistant principal until my appointment here at Baton in July, 2011. I consider my varied experiences to be a valuable asset to my daily work with our students, parents, and staff. I feel privileged to work in such a caring and supportive community. Please feel free to stop by and discuss any concerns you may have or just drop in to say "hi" and get to know me a little better.
